TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – After over 20 years, Envision Credit Union’s 13-month academic year planners are now not only useful tools for students and teachers but also a showcase for budding artists. Approached early in the year by a local school board employee about using student artwork in the planner the $162 million credit union quickly agreed and worked with Cade & Associates Advertising to print and distribute some 15,000 revamped planners. According to Envision CU Senior Vice President of Marketing Al Hammock, using the artwork would increase the appeal of the planners. “Over the years the planners changed size and the covers became more colorful, but the basic formula was simple – give people as much room as possible to write in their appointments,” said Hammock. To celebrate the new “partnership” Envision CU and Leon County Schools held a reception for the 24 student artists whose work appears in the planner and awarded each artist a $50 US Savings Bond. The students’ art is now getting double the exposure as it continues to make its rounds at the Envision CU’s four Leon County financial centers.
