MADISON, Wis. – CUNA’s Center for Personal Finance has come out with two new statement stuffers for credit unions to send to members that explain how to determine an affordable mortgage loan and discuss the availability of small business loans from credit unions. “How Much House” explains how interest rates and loan terms affect affordability when buying a home. It also shows the factors lenders use in determining the monthly payment amount a member can afford. The second brochure, “Business Loans Help Realize Your Dreams” explains the credit union advantage and credit unions’ ability to offer small business loans to members. It also shows the steps involved in attaining a business loans, explains what members should include in their business plans, prepares them to meet with a lender, and lists what the member should bring with them when applying for a business loan.
