WASHINGTON-CUNA Senior Vice President for Government Affairs John McKechnie was featured on a nationally syndicated radio show regarding small business Oct. 10. In an early morning, half-hour clip, McKechnie explained to the audience of Jim Blasingame's Small Business Advocate what credit unions have to offer small businesses, from lending to payroll to night deposits to adding it as an employee benefit. He explained this year's changes that the Small Business Administration and NCUA have made for credit unions to better serve the small business community. McKechnie said he has been on the show seven or eight times in the last four years, mainly to discuss bankruptcy reform, general regulatory relief, and other issues. [email protected]
