LENEXA, Kan. – Fundraising has been taken to a new level at CommunityAmerica Credit Union. In just three months the credit union has raised nearly $55,000 to benefit Kansas City children in need. According to CommunityAmerica CUCEO Dennis Pierce, the donations are simply part of the credit union's commitment to enhancing the quality of life in its communities. Funds were raised through such events as the annual Stuff the Bus school supplies drive, annual Tee Off for Tots golf tournament, participation in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund's Walk for the Cure and the Jared Coones Memorial Pumpkin 5K Run/Walk.
