Credit union card management draws closer all the time to a crossroads. Are credit cards a part of what many credit unions can and should offer as part of their core products and services, or should they retreat from the credit card field and give their card portfolios over to other firms that specialize in card management? Recently Callahan and Associates published its first report about credit union credit card management. It both highlighted many of the problems facing credit unions as they sought to better manage their cards and the experiences of credit unions that entered into agent relationships with banks that specialize in credit cards.
