ANCHORAGE – In the first year that not-for-profit cooperatives were included in the rankings, Alaska USA Federal Credit Union has made the Alaska Business Monthly list of top Alaskan businesses. Each year the magazine ranks the top 49 businesses in the state based on gross revenue and the credit union ranked tenth on the list. "Alaska USA has been part of the Alaska business community for 55 years," said Alaska USA FCU President/CEO Bill Eckhardt. "We appreciate the recognition of the credit union's role in the economic vitality of Alaska. It is also gratifying to see not-for-profit cooperatives included on the list this year. Clearly they are significant players in providing a wide range of services to Alaskan communities." Alaska USA FCU has 37 branches in Alaska and Washington and serves 255,000 members.
