HARRISBURG, Pa. – Attorneys from around the state who work with – or are planning to work with – credit unions, recently attended a two-day conference hosted by the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association that covered legal and regulatory issues affecting credit unions. Some of the topics on the program for the conference at the Hilton Harrisburg & Towers Sept. 25 and 26 were: trends in consumer laws; corporate governance; emerging human resource issues; Pennsylvania Banking Department Update; USA Patriot At/Consumer Identification; and bankruptcy. Among the guest speakers who addressed conferees was David Bleicken, deputy chief counsel, Pennsylvania Department of Banking.
