MADISON, Wis. – After a four-month search for a leader, University of Wisconsin Credit Union has appointed Paul Kundert president/CEO. Kundert fills the seat left vacant since May 2003 when Ron Staatz became President/CEO of SECU of Maryland. Kundert joins UW Credit Union with over 13 years of financial services experience, most recently as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Rochester, Minnesota-based Think FCU. During Kundert’s tenure at Think FCU, the credit union experienced growth from a $250 million to a $1.1 billion credit union. He also led the development of a mortgage lending operation ranked eighth among credit unions as measured by loans sold and planned and implemented a program to modernize Think FCU’s technology infrastructure including its internally developed core applications system.
