WASHINGTON – Which businesses do consumers trust more? The Consumer Federation of America and the National Cooperative Business Association will release the findings of a new study on Oct. 1 about consumers’ attitudes towards the businesses they deal with. Among the information expected to be released is how consumers feel about the business practices of cooperatives and investor-owned corporations; how attitudes affect consumer preferences for different types of business; how cooperatives and traditional corporations rate in areas such as service, quality of products, and trustworthiness; and the corporate business structures consumers find most trustworthy. The CFA and NCBA also will announce a month-long national campaign to educate consumers about the cooperative alternative.
