According to Hunting not only is the community growing but unlike other parts of the country the economy here is quite strong. In addition credit unions here interact often with one another and are very politically active. Challenges include reaching out to the growing Hispanic community and distance. Hunting says with so many rural areas, credit unions keep in touch with members via the Web, fax and some credit unions have developed their own private overnight mail service for members.
