LYNCHBURG, Va. – Not even the threat of a Category 2 hurricane like Isabel could keep credit union representatives from around the state from attending the Virginia Credit Union League's statewide Legislative Forum on Sept. 17 held in Reston. Despite the impending storm, the forum was still held on the eve of the hurricane, and the VCUL said it turned out to be "a huge success." Every league chapter was represented and 14 legislators and their aides attended as well. Among the state legislators at the Forum were Sen. Patsy Ticer (D-31), Sen. Janet Howell (D-32), Del. Jim Scott (D-53), Del. Kris Amundson (D-44), Del. Richard Black (R-32), and Del. Jim Dillard (R-41).
