WASHINGTON-NAFCU wrote Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) urging the chamber to make quick work of H.R. 1776, the Pension Preservation and Savings Expansion Act of 2003. "This legislation provides a plethora of important reforms by making continued improvements to our nation's savings and pension systems. The acceleration of savings contribution limits, expanding tax credits for those with modest means, and the pension reform provisions are all important steps to make it easier for Americans to save more," the letter read. NAFCU urged the House to bring up the bill and pass the "needed legislation."
