HANSCOM AFB, Mass. – Hanscom Federal Credit Union has been selected by the United States Air Force as their 2003 Distinguished Credit Union. Each year, this honor goes to one credit union that has shown superior service to Air Force personnel. This year, selectors placed special emphasis on programs that support young people. Hanscom FCU's major contributions in that area are an eight-week financial literacy course taught by staff to cadets in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps at Lowell High School, and a program on credit for new military personnel at Hanscom Air Force Base. Hanscom FCU is currently celebrating its fiftieth year of service.
