ARVADA, Colo.-Doug Burke has been named acting president of the Colorado Credit Union System and the Wyoming Credit Union League. Burke joined the Colorado Credit Union System in 1986 and has been serving as senior vice president of Colleague Services Corporation. James Holt, president of the Colorado and Wyoming leagues, is no longer with the league for undisclosed reasons, league Senior Vice President Nancy Bunte confirmed. She added that the staff was not informed of the circumstances of his departure, but that after a meeting with the league board on Sept. 4, it was announced that he was no longer working there. He ran the leagues for about a year and a half after the retirement of Carroll Beach. "We appreciate Jim's dedication to the position and wish him well in his future endeavors," Colorado Credit Union System Chairman Carla Hedrick, president of Denver Community Federal Credit Union said in a statement. Hedrick did not return several calls for further comment.
