MADISON, Wis. – CUNA’s Madison operations has a new PR staffer. Katye Long is making the jump from food to credit unions. Long’s last job was at the Madison, Wis.-based Whole Foods Market where she served as marketing/ community relations director. She will handle PR and corporate communications for CUNA’s Madison operations, replacing Veronica LaDuke who left CUNA this summer to relocate her family. CUNA’s Washington office is more the regulatory/legislative arm of CUNA, while its Madison office, home to 200 employees, handles professional development, research and other services. Long is currently completing her master’s degree in public/corporate communications at the University of Wisconsin. CUNA’s PR team consists of three people: CUNA SVP and chief communications officer Mark Wolff, CUNA VP of Communications and Media Outreach Pat Keefe (both in Washington), and Long. According to Keefe, CUNA has one vacant PR position in Washington that it has yet to fill.
