LAS VEGAS – Silver State Schools Credit Union has become the first Nevada credit union to launch Understanding Your Money, an interactive Web-based program designed to teach teens about money management and sensible personal finance decisions. The module, available in both Spanish and English is one of several developed by educational consultant MyDAS Marketing and can be found on the credit union's Web site under Member Education. "It's critical to your future success to be savvy when it comes to managing your money," said MyDAS President Sue Mitchell to 29 teen attendees at SSSCU's launch session. "The program's real life examples will help guide you through the steps to developing a realistic budget, setting long, mid and short-term financial goals and the plans for achieving them."
