ALBANY, N.Y. – The New York Credit Union Foundation (NYCUF) took advantage of summer break to spread the word about the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) to members of the Business Teachers Association of New York State (BTANYS). The Foundation wanted to show how teachers could utilize the credit union-supported NEFE curriculum to teach students fundamental financial skills, at no cost to their schools. Foundation Executive Director Frank Kerbein attended BTANYS summer workshops in Albany, Buffalo, Long Island, Rochester, and Syracuse. Kerbein talked up NEFE and how the Foundation can help schools establish partnerships with local credit unions to help with financial literacy instruction.
