DALLAS – Corporate credit union pioneer and former Southwest Corporate FCU President/CEO John Arnold is recovering after emergency brain surgery conducted a few weeks ago, according to Southwest Corporate FCU. The surgery was done to relieve swelling that occurred after Arnold fell and struck his head. His son, Mark, who serves as an SVP at Neighborhood CU, Dallas, said his father is in good spirits, but the road to recovery will be a long one. “Our family appreciates the outpouring of concern and well-wishes for John. It really points out that those in credit unions truly are part of a big family,” said Mark Arnold. Cards, flowers and good wishes should be sent to Southwest Corporate FCU, 7920 Belt Line Road, Suite 1100, Dallas, TX, 75254, Attention: Marketing Department. Arnold retired from Southwest Corporate in 1995 after 20 years as CEO.
