RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – Members of the California Credit Union League’s Credit Union Advisory Committee met with House Financial Services Committee Member Joe Baca (D-Calif.) earlier this month to discuss net worth and business lending limitations included in the Federal Credit Union Act, and possible legislation to remove the limitations. The League’s ad hoc Advisory Committee includes 12 officials from affiliated credit unions in California who meet several times during the year with California congressmen on the House Financial Services Committee to provide an ongoing dialogue between them and credit unions on key issues. The committee’s August 5th meeting with Baca took place at the CCUL’s headquarters. After the meeting, Baca visited the California Center Credit Union which is located in the League’s headquarters and serves employees of the CCUL and its affiliates, as well as other businesses that are located in the building.
