Security Service Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, Texas, employees Rose Davis and Will Perez, received Mentor of the Year Awards from Business Careers High School for their commitment of extra time and special dedication to their mentees in pursuit of excellence in education. SSFCU has been participating in this Mentor Program with the local high school since it began in 1999. Fifty-three SSFCU employees now participate in this program, comprising 33% of the entire Mentor Program for BCHS. Tower Federal Credit Union, Laurel, Md., has recognized several employees for reaching service milestones. Melanie Harlow, electronic services representative, was honored as recipient of the first quarter President's Award for her dedication to Tower's values of service excellence, innovation, leadership, teamwork, and continuous learning. Others honored included Sharon Sakowski (MSR) and Sharon Stecher (MSR), 20 years; Wendi Davis (Employment Representative), Barbara Grimes (MSR), Crystal Matthews (MSR), Joan McCormick (MSR), Deborah Slappy (Credit Card Representative), and Arlene Sussman (Records Processor), 15 years; Richard Brake (Senior Vice President, Member Services), 10 years; and Rebecca Bowman (MSR), Joshua David (MSR), Erica Marnell (Senior Teller), and Jennifer Tucker (Senior MSR), 5 years.
