WASHINGTON-The Independent Community Bankers of America has named Paul McGuire its new vice president of state/regional operations & membership strategy. In his new post, McGuire is responsible for supervising ICBA's regional calling officer program, which was designed to increase membership, retention and product and service awareness that he was instrumental in establishing, and developing new recruitment and retention strategies for the association. McGuire was previously employed at the Electronic Funds Transfer Association. He earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Old Dominion University and has completed course work towards his Certified Association Executive program, as well as sales management training through the American Management Association. ICBA President and CEO Ken Guenther stated, "Paul has shown strong leadership in the state and regional operations area of ICBA while working with our state partners, and our calling officers. The membership area will now benefit from his oversight and vision."
