MADISON, Wis. – The CUNA Lending Council and CUNA Mutual Group have extended the application deadline for the 2003 `Credit Union Excellence in Lending Award' to Aug. 15. The award recognizes and honors credit unions for their abilities to serve their members' credit needs while maintaining sound financial performance. Two awards each will presented in consumer lending and mortgage lending for the year 2002 and will be conferred at the Lending Council Annual Meeting to be held Nov. 2-5 in Indian Wells, Calif. One award in each category is presented to a credit union with under $250 million in assets, and one with $250 million or more in assets.
