WASHINGTON-CUNA has nominated six credit union representatives for the Federal Reserve Board's Consumer Advisory Council. Credit unions' only representative on the council currently is E Federal Credit Union (Baton Rouge, La.) CEO Ken Bordelon. CUNA is hoping the Fed will consider seating more than one credit union representative on the board for greater representation. CUNA's nominees, as recommended by the group's Consumer Protection Subcommittee, included: * Byron Edgett, President & CEO, Spokane FCU, Spokane, Wash. * Dave Maus, President & CEO, Public Service Employees CU, Denver, Colo. * Patrick McGrady, President & CEO, Toledo Area Community CU, Sylvania, Ohio * Kris Mecham, President & CEO, Deseret First CU, Salt Lake City, Utah * William Myers, CEO and Managing Officer, Alternatives FCU, Ithaca, N.Y. * A. Lee Williams, President, Aviation Associates CU, Wichita, Kan. The CAC is made up of representatives from financial institutions, consumer and community organizations, government, and academia. It meets three times a year in Washington to advise the Fed on its responsibilities under various consumer financial services laws and other matters. Members receive three-year terms.
