ALEXANDRIA, Va.-NCUA announced the registration and agenda information for its next Partnering and Leadership Successes conference on member business lending slated for Oct. 16 in Washington, D.C. The free, all-day session includes a long list of credit union community officials and others who are well-versed on business lending, including Small Business Administration General Counsel David Javdan, NCUA General Counsel Bob Fenner, Telesis Credit Union CEO Grace Mayo, CUNA Economist Bill Hampel, NCUA Region II Principal Examiner Maggie Miller, and CUNA SBA consultant Mike Hearne. NCUA Board Member Deborah Matz and Vice Chair JoAnn Johnson, who are co-hosting the conference, are also scheduled to speak. Topics of discussion will range from credit union experiences with successful member business loan programs to managing the legal requirements and minimizing the risk. Co-hosting the conference with NCUA are CUNA and the D.C., Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania credit union leagues. Participation is limited to the first 100 registrants.
