WOBURN, Mass. – EasCorp’s commitment to the Children’s Hospital Boston continues to be strong. The corporate’s recent Credit Union Invitational Golf Tournament raised more than $100,000 for the hospital. EasCorp’s Credit Union Invitational Golf Tournament is one of four 2003 events co-sponsored by the corporate and participating credit unions to benefit Children’s Hospital. The Kids at Heart program has set an annual goal of $300,000 to raise funds for a new patient family lounge, along with other hospital efforts. EasCorp initiated the program in 1996, which to date has contributed more than $1 million to the hospital. “Working with our credit union community to raise funds for Children’s Hospital has been one of the EasCorp staff’s most rewarding experiences” said Jane Melchionda, president and CEO. “This year, we have 42 co-sponsors and we expect to grow that number even more in 2004.” At the end of the event there was a surprise contribution from Joe Zampitella, president of Members Mortgage Company. He presented the Credit Unions of Massachusetts Kids at Heart program with a check for $45,000 that the company raised through a series of home buyers’ seminars in April.
