MADISON, Wis.-CUNA's Center for Professional Development is now offering an e-Seminar to aid credit unions with developing their language skills. According to CUNA's 2002 Credit Union Services Profile, 7% of credit unions serve memberships comprised of at least 25% Spanish-speaking persons. The 10-session e-Seminar will run from Nov.11 through Dec. 16 and include lessons on the Latino culture as it relates to credit unions, the Spanish alphabet, pronunciation and greetings, and member service. It is aimed at tellers, loan officers, member service representatives and managers. The cost of the program is $695 for the first participant and $195 for others at the same location.
