DULUTH, Ga. – Georgia Central wants its members to be secure. On July 16th, the $1.6 billion corporate is sponsoring the “2003 Network Security Seminar,” at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia in Atlanta, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Experts from Securadigm will discuss cyber-crime, viruses, and intrusion detection and offer information on damage control, network tests and privacy laws. “When we offered this seminar last year, it was very well received by our members,” said Dawn Sirras, AVP, Product Development/Information Technology. “Because technology changes at an exponential rate, we believe it’s necessary to offer the seminar again with new, updated information for credit union executives who are responsible for ensuring their networks’ security.” The seminar will include a panel of credit union executives to drive a group discussion at the end of each segment. “We’ve found that credit unions look forward to opportunities when they’re able to share experiences with their colleagues,” Sirras says. “We’ve structured the panel so it includes executives from small to extra large credit unions.” The cost to attend is $150, and $120 per person if two or more people from the same credit union attend (member credit unions receive a discounted rate of $110 and $95, respectively). The deadline to register is Wednesday, July 9th. For more information visit www.gacentral.org.
