A recent Prudential Life Inc. 2003 LTC Insurance Employee Benefit Study finds that long term care insurance is gaining popularity and now ranks equal to group life insurance. Given American Association of Retired Persons' estimates that the annual bill for nursing home care averages $56,000 or higher in urban metropolitan areas, more employees are viewing the insurance as a way to protect their retirement assets.
