Credit unions are split on the issue of having a private insurance alternative. Overwhelmingly, credit unions think Dennis Dollar’s spot on the NCUA Board should be filled with someone with credit union experience. Credit union competition is almost equally divided between community banks, big banks, and other CUs. How do I know these things? Because of the completely revised, easy to use, online, instant poll questions carried on the Credit Union Times daily news site at cutimes.com. Graphically, the new poll looks better. Technologically, it works better. As soon as a new, timely question is posted, like those cited above, visitors to Credit Union Times’ site begin casting their votes. To vote requires one click. The vote is immediately recorded. Within seconds the new totals are displayed. In the old poll, the questions were good, but the number of clicks and thus time it took to participate discouraged participation. The number of votes now cast for every question has more than quadrupled. Now every time someone visits the Credit Union Times home page, the latest poll is right there on the top right hand side along side of breaking news items added throughout the day (another Credit Union Times exclusive). It is not buried among advertising boxes and messages because there are none. Who are the biggest credit union competitors? Get in on the fun and cast your vote at cutimes.com. There is nothing else out there like it. [email protected]
