CHICAGO – The $4 billion United Airlines Employees CU has named David Mooney as its new president/CEO. Mooney was most recently a senior vice president at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. The top spot has been vacant at UAECU for quite some time. Former CEO Bob Bream retired last year on August 28. Bream joined Certegy Card Services North America as vice president and general manager. Since Bream’s departure, UAECU Board Chairperson Donna Fridrych has served as interim CEO. Bream was serving as treasurer when he left, a board position Mooney will also assume. Mooney has had a 26-year banking career, and experience leading large units. At Chase he led a consumer division where he was responsible for 1,200 employees in 17 metropolitan areas in Texas.
