BURNSVILLE, Minn. – US troops in Kuwait will receive a piece of home thanks to US Federal Credit Union staffers. US Federal CU employees donated items for over five care packages, which will be sent to active military personnel deployed in "Operation Enduring Freedom." "The packages were put together to let the troops know that people back home are thinking of them and appreciate their efforts," said organizer Chris Garcia, who took the initiative to start this project after learning that his cousin received deployment orders. The packages include such items as: water bottles, toothpaste, soap, snacks, prepaid phone cards, puzzle books and a greeting card signed with encouraging messages of support.
