WASHINGTON-Initially believing the organization would have little trouble renting out prime office space in Washington, D.C., CUNA moved to a new, larger office space about a year and a half ago. However, the terrorist attacks of September 11 seemed to make office space seekers squeamish about being so close to the White House. CUNA finally rented out its old office space at 805 15th Street, NW last month to a company called Paradigm Solutions Corporation, an information technology and business solutions provider headquartered in Rockville, Md., according to CUNA Vice President of Communications and Media Outreach Pat Keefe. A Paradigm representative confirmed it would maintain its Maryland headquarters. Keefe said he could not disclose the terms of the lease. In related news, CUNA rented out the excess office space in its new headquarters at 601 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, to the District of Columbia Office of the Public Defender approximately 10 months ago.
