WASHINGTON-Margaret Durbin Condrill, former House Energy and Commerce Committee minority chief counsel and staff director, planned to join CUNA’s legislative team this week, according to CUNA’s online newsletter News Now. Most recently, Condrill lobbied for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the report said. Prior to that she served her second stint at the American Council of Life Insurance for six years, before and after serving as minority chief counsel and staff director for the House Energy and Commerce Committee for seven years. Condrill had also previously lobbied for the American Insurance Association. Before that much of her work was on the Hill as a House Interstate and Foreign Commerce Committee subcommittee staffer and a House Energy and Commerce Committee subcommittee staffer. Initially, Condrill worked in the American Law Division at the Library of Congress. According to CUNA Vice President of Communications and Media Outreach, her first day was to be April 7.
