WASHINGTON-Other than from press reports, CUNA has not received any “official” notification from Pentagon Federal Credit Union that it is pulling its membership from the trade group. Therefore, CUNA Vice President of Communications and Media Outreach Pat Keefe said the organization did not want to comment on the matter at this time. When asked about the lack of notification to CUNA, Pentagon’s point-person on the issue, Senior Vice President of Community Program Development Roderick Mitchell, said that Pentagon did not have any further comments on the situation. “We attended the DCUC (Defense Credit Union Council) conference on Saturday (during GAC),” was the only statement Mitchell would make regarding CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference at the end of February. Pentagon FCU President/CEO Frank Pollack was chairman of CUNA’s Renaissance Commission.
