Team One Credit Union, has raised $28,283 to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Team One CU was the largest fundraising team in the entire state of Michigan. Funds raised help support national research, program funding and provide services such as equipment and self-help groups for people with MS and their families. Team One has been participating in the MS walk for over 6 years raising nearly $72,000. Heritage Credit Union, Madison, Wis., employees have donated 47 pints of blood to the American Red Cross. Over 35 employees took turns donating blood over a one year period. The American Red Cross collects over 800 pints of blood in each region every day in order to keep America’s blood supply replenished. Heritage CU staffers plan to exceed their goal in 2003 by donating 52 pints or more. Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union, Lowell, Mass., has pledged $10,000 in support of a production of Old Wicked Songs, a Jon Marans’ play about learning and life. This was the first time the credit union sponsored a Merrimack Repertory Theater stage production. Nearly 7,000 people attended the performance. The Merrimack Repertory Theater has served as the cultural center for 23 years, bringing a broad range of entertainment to the local community.
