SAN ANTONIO – Add another credit union to this year's growing list of new names and brands. After 70 years, San Antonio Teachers Credit Union has changed its name to Firstmark Credit Union to better reflect its field of membership. "The name Firstmark tells our members that they are first with us," said Jennifer Griffith, FCU vice president of marketing and public relations, "and that we are the credit union they can count on to achieve their dreams and reach important financial milestones, like buying their first car or new home." Not only has the name changed, but the $422 million credit union has also opened a new 50,000 square-foot central headquarters for its 122 administrative personnel. The facility also houses Firstmark CU's eighth full-service branch. According to Griffith it was time for a change. In just the first month of the name change Firstmark CU has already signed up over 1,700 new members.
