Riverside Campus Federal Credit Union, Riverside, Calif., has collected 220 new and “slightly loved” stuffed animals, and 100 pair of new socks during its Annual Community Drive. The stuffed animals were donated to the County of Riverside Sheriff’s Department, and the socks were donated to the County of Riverside Homeless Shelter Program. Georgia Federal Credit Union, Atlanta, has granted the gift wishes of 1,619 foster children. Working with the local Department of Family & Children’s Services GFCU members, employees teamed up to provide gifts to the needy. In addition, donations totaling $1,050 were donated and used to purchase more gifts. Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union, Daleville, Ala., has collected flags for the JROTC Flag Retirement Ceremony as part of an ongoing community service program. The flags are then donated to JROTC. Steel Works Community Federal Credit Union, Weirton, W. Va., has donated $1,000 to the American Heart Association. In addition to hosting and participating in the annual Heart Walk SWCFCU was presented awards for the youngest walker and for raising the most money. Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, Springfield, Pa., has participated in the Celebrity Pro Am Bowling Tournament to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The two FMFCU teams were cheered on by former Philadelphia Flyers Bernie Parent and Dave Schultz.
