Security Service Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, Texas, has opened a new 6,300 square-foot Service Center in Ingram Park Mall. The new Service Center has eight remote video tellers, two commercial teller stations, additional member service offices, two check-cashing ATMs and mortgage and investment offices. In addition, SSFCU has sponsored the mall's new children's Play Area, which will include soft colorful toys, comfortable seating areas, a library area and literature racks. Philadelphia Telco Credit Union,Trevose, Pa., has celebrated the grand opening of its Montgomery Township branch. During the festivities, magician Kevin Shelly entertained members, The Gourmet Vendor Inc. provided treats, and artist Joe White created caricatures as gifts. West Virginia Central Credit Union, Parkersburg, has selected design/build firm PWCampbell for its newest retail branch here. Construction is projected to be completed in the first quarter of 2003. United Federal Credit Union, Buchanan, Mich., has selected design/build firm DEI Inc. for its Stevensville branch. The facility will feature a "solution center" and include a themed children's area and an "edutainment" center. Kern Schools Federal Credit Union, Bakersfield, Calif., has opened a new full service Panama Lane branch. The facility features 12 teller windows, four service center windows, drive-up windows, and ATMs. Coastal Federal Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., has acquired a 154,000 square-foot building to accommodate its growth needs. Deere Community Credit Union, Ankeny, Iowa, has opened its latest branch in the Ankeny Hy-Vee. The facility will include four teller stations, two private offices and two 24-hour ATMs. Three Rivers Federal Credit Union, Fort Wayne, Ind., has opened its 18th branch in a Scott's Food Store. The new, state-of-the-art facility will feature specialization in one-on-one personal, business lending services and other transaction services, which do not involve the exchange of cash. For cash transactions, members will utilize a self-service ATM "pod" and an interface for on-line banking. AFTRA-SAG Federal Credit Union, Los Angeles, has acquired a 17,000 square-foot office building and nearby parcel of land to relocate its corporate headquarters. In addition, plans are underway to build a fourth branch on a 15,126 square-foot parcel of land located on Riverside Drive. Justice Federal Credit Union, Chantilly, Va., has opened two new branches-one in Los Angeles and the other in San Diego. An FBI Assistant Agent-in-Charge performed the ribbon cutting honors at both branches. USA Federal Credit Union, San Diego, has opened a second Inland Empire branch. The 2,000-square-foot USAFCU branch in Murrieta is operated by a staff of five, including branch manager Jeanne Miley. This branch is the 23rd for USA FCU.
