WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Marketing executives do not have it easy, and given the intensified competition they are facing ever-growing challenges. A recent American Management Association survey finds that marketers feel that their most formidable challenges are found within their own organizations. Despite this, marketers said they fully accept this challenge and believe one of their most important roles is to provide internal leadership to foster organizational alignment and act as the “voice of the customer”. In addition, marketers rated employers as average on the pace with which they adapt new processes; technologies; skills/behaviors to address changing marketplace conditions; and deliver marketing strategies.
