MADISON, Wis. – If you think you’ve got what it takes to win a Golden Mirror Award then CUES wants you. So gather your most inventive and lucrative marketing projects from the past year and submit them to the 2003 CUES Golden Mirror Awards competition. Judges will evaluate each entry’s objective, target audience, strategy, and market/competitive factors. Nominations are then made for entries to be scored in the final round of judging, based on standard marketing criteria results, creativity, planning, and production quality. First place, second place and awards of merit will be presented in 26 GMA categories during the 2003 CUES Marketing, Operations & Technology Conference, April 14-17 at the Paris Las Vegas. The ceremony will conclude with a special tribute to the GMA Rookie of the Year and the GMA Phil Davies Memorial “Best of Show”. A lucky marketer entering the competition for the first time will be crowned the GMA Rookie of the Year. To be eligible, applicants must indicate they are first-time entrants. All winning entries from first-time entrants will automatically be considered for this award. The Best of Show award pays tribute to the memory of Phil Davies, former CUNA advertising/marketing director, and his outstanding contributions to credit union marketing. “Best of Show” is awarded to one of the first place winners from the four asset divisions in the Coordinated Campaigns category. In addition to recognition, the winning credit union receives a crystal trophy, a framed certificate for the marketer responsible for the entry, an invitation to judge the 2004 competition; and an opportunity to present the award to next year’s recipient. Early-bird entries must be received at CUES no later than January 8, 2003. All entries must be received by the final deadline of January 22, 2003, to be judged in the 2003 competition.
