State Employees Credit Union, Lansing, Mich., has celebrated the grand opening of its full-service Eastwood Towne Center Financial Solutions branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The branch features three ATMs as the primary source for day-to-day transactions. Pacific Service Credit Union, Walnut Creek, Calif., has broken ground on a new Fresno branch. Designed by KDA Holdings the new 5,500 square foot branch will feature a cyber caf, a drive-up ATM, a walk-up ATM, a phone center and a community room for use by local community groups. The branch is scheduled to open in Spring 2003. Motorola Employees Credit Union-West, Tempe, Ariz., has broken ground on its latest branch. The branch is expected to open by April 2003 and will feature safe deposit boxes, extended weekday hours, Saturday hours, drive-up windows and a drive-up ATM. Mission Federal Credit Union, San Diego, has recently held a relocation celebration. The new branch includes an Internet Caf complete with fresh coffee for members to do their online banking or surf the Web. The branch also includes specific stations for new accounts and loan requests and an outside ATM. EDS Credit Union, Plano, Texas, staff, board members and other key figures met to celebrate breaking ground for a new, stand-alone branch. Designed by TGS Architects, the two-story, 26,226 square foot building will be built by Spring Valley Construction. The new branch will offer six remote tellers, seven drive-up lanes, including two with drive-through ATMs, and one walk-up ATM. The expected date of completion is early fall of 2003. Desert Schools Federal Credit Union, Phoenix, has celebrated the grand opening of its Paradise Valley branch. Grand opening festivities included prizes, giveaways, refreshments and cake; and a live broadcast from radio station KEZ 99.9 The 5,450 square-foot branch offers Connection PointT Internet stations. These Internet stations are in-branch kiosks equipped with personal computers linked to ePAL, the credit union’s online banking service. Other conveniences include a walk-up ATM, full-service branch hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays as well as representatives from Desert Schools Financial Services and The Auto Source, a vehicle buying service for members. Boise Employees Federal Credit Union, International Falls, Minn., has selected design/build firm DEI to build its Park Rapids branch. The 4,000 square-foot facility feature a complimentary coffee counter conveniently located near the waiting area and a themed children’s area to occupy youngsters.
