Chetco Federal Credit Union, Harbor, Ore., has celebrated its 45th anniversary with the theme, “Beaming With Pride For 45 Years.” As part of the celebration Chetco FCU provided miniature lighthouses to each of its branches. In a first for this community, CFCU also sponsored free DNA fingerprinting. Trained CFCU staffers administered the program at each branch. Teachers Federal Credit Union, Farmingville, N.Y., has celebrated fifty years of success. Today, Teachers FCU boasts over 125,000 members and total assets of $1.3 billion. The credit union plans to continue adding branches and expanding services. U.S. Central Credit Union, Overland Park, Kan. Vice President of Systems Engineering Bob Conner has completed his first IronMan Distance Triathlon. Conner, 37, completed the 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike race and 26.2-mile run in 15 hours and 29 minutes. He was one of 250 triathletes. Conner has worked at U.S. Central for nearly three years and plans to compete in his second IronMan Distance Triathlon in 2004. Earthmover Credit Union, Aurora, Ill., Collection Manger Sheree Coffman has recently celebrated her 15 year anniversary with the credit union. To honor Coffman for her years of dedicated service President Warren Schumacher presented her with a certificate and staffers joined in the festivities by offering cake and refreshments. University Federal Credit Union, Austin, Texas, has recently been named “Business of the Year” by the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce. UFCU was recognized for its commitment and dedication to the Chamber, including regular presence at, participation in, and sponsorship of Chamber events.
