WASHINGTON-CUNA held a meeting recently in Washington with large credit union CEOs to encourage credit unions to become politically active. The meeting, which CUNA declined to discuss, took place November 7-8 with an attendance list comprised of the credit union community's billionaires club. According to one source that attended the meeting, nothing earth shattering occurred but CUNA was encouraging all credit unions to become more politically involved on the heels of a very tight election year.
