PRINCETON, N.J. – Electronic bill presentment/payment firm Princeton eCom said that it presented an average of 1.7 million bills a month online during the third quarter of 2002, up 70% over the one million bills the company presented during the previous quarter. Consumers may be warming up to bill pay. Online Resources, another EBPP firm, also reported increased bill pay usage recently. During the third quarter, Princeton eCom processed an average of five million payments per month, about a 10% increase over the 4.6 million payments reported in the second quarter and a 20% increase over the same period in 2002.
