SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Service Centers Corporation is going all out to update its image given its recent partnership with CO-OP Network. To that end SCC has unveiled a new logo, which features a red diamond and black lettering reminiscent of CO-OP’s signature red triangle. According to SCC the similarity is intentional and part of the marketing strategy to visually reinforce the link between the two companies. As a pioneer of the nation’s first shared branching network, SCC is also preparing to launch an aggressive national marketing campaign to further expand its reach. As part of the new push the shared branching network plans to continue to develop and operate stand alone branches and introduce more “hybrid” outlets. “Since 1975, when Service Centers Corporation introduced the first shared branch to the credit union industry, we’ve provided the most extensive variety of shared branching options in the financial services world,” said Dan Balagna, president/CEO of SCC. “Our business combination with CO-OP Network strengthens this shared branching focus. As credit union charters have broadened in recent years to allow the industry to more fairly compete with other financial institutions, SCC’s role has also expanded…and will continue to expand.” SCC members have access to nearly 900 shared branch facilities in 36 states and military bases in Guam, Korea and Japan. CO-OP Network is the No. 4 ATM/EFT network, with 14,000 surcharge-free ATMS, and serves 11 million cardholders from over 1,100 credit unions.
