PLANO, Texas – EDS recently wrapped up its Visions 2002 conference for its credit union clients in Las Vegas. It included its largest Tech Fair ever with 31 booths. Over 250 attendees went to at least one of the training classes. EDS created a new forum this year, called CXO track, where CU execs dictated topics that interested them. Scott Butler, EDS' CU Division President, facilitated the roundtable discussion. CUNA President/CEO Dan Mica greeted attendees with a pre-recorded message talking about the EDS/CUNA relationship. Last year CUNA Network Services formed a Net banking alignment with EDS. Next year's Visions will be held in Orlando in September. In other news from EDS, the company has selected Dell as its provider of Intel-based servers, notebook and desktop computers. Much of the deal is for EDS' own internal use, however EDS also said there should be some benefits for its CU clients, yet it's not sure at this point.
