WASHINGTON-The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has announced that it will be restructuring its district offices in response to continuing consolidation of the banking industry and advances in technology. The realignment will see OCC’s San Francisco and Kansas City District Offices merged into a new office in Denver and the Atlanta District Office merged into the existing Dallas office. Field offices will continue in San Francisco, Kansas City and Atlanta for the banks in those areas. Some of the banks currently overseen by the Kansas City and Atlanta District Offices will now be supervised out of the Chicago District Office. The examiners employed at the agency’s 72 field offices nationwide will not be affected. To aid employees affected by the changes, OCC also announced several programs, including relocation bonuses and help finding new jobs and buyouts for those who choose not to relocate.
