SAN DIMAS, Calif. – WesCorp, which has been trying to form a deeper relationship with Hawaii CUs in recent years, will be holding its monthly board and ALCO meetings for the first time ever in Honolulu in December. WesCorp, which has a full-time representative based in Honolulu, has a relationship with about 45 of the state’s 104 CUs. Last year Credit Union Times reported that a WesCorp proposal to merge with Hawaii’s corporate, PacCorp, was shot down by the PacCorp CEO and board chairman. “This is a premier opportunity to listen and get to know one another better, becoming more adept at building a true friendship grounded in respect, collaboration and partnership,” wrote WesCorp in a WesCorp newsletter that goes to CUs in the Pacific Region.
