Maumee Valley Credit Union, Toledo, Ohio, has selected Cincinnati-based design/build financial facilities firm DEI, Inc. for its branch remodel project. Oklahoma Health Services Federal Credit Union, Oklahoma City, has celebrated the grand opening of its renovated headquarters. Festivities were kicked off with radio personalities Lisa and Ron from local station KRXO doing their morning show live from the lobby. Guests were treated to tours of the new facility and Enterprise Car Sales hosted a hotdog cookout in the parking lot complete with chips and door prizes including a 9″ television/VCR; alarm clock radio; cordless phones; and gift baskets containing coffees and teas. PowerNet Credit Union, Tampa, Fla., has broken ground on its new headquarters. The two-story, 9,500 square foot will include such features as drive-up windows and a night depository. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter in 2003. Robins Federal Credit Union, Warner Robins, Ga. has opened its doors at its newest location in Macon. This newest addition will be Robins Federal Credit Union’s 14th location and the third location for Macon. It is a full-service branch that includes three drive-thru windows with a drive-thru ATM. The grand opening celebration for the Hartley Bridge Road branch was held immediately following the ribbon-cutting ceremony. A live remote with local radio station WDEN was featured along with a money machine and balloons for the kids. More than 500 guests stopped by to enjoy the food, giveaways and festivities. Erie General Electric Federal Credit Union, Pa., has held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its East 38th Street branch. Over 100 people attended the grand opening festivities, which treated members to special loan rates, refreshments, free giveaways and chances for prizes. Chartway Federal Credit Union, Virginia Beach, Va., has held a grand opening celebration for its Chesapeake branch. The facility features one walk-up and one drive-up ATM, four teller stations, four Member Service Representative stations and drive-thru lanes. First Financial Credit Union, has held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its first full-service in-store branch. Representatives from the credit union’s board of directors, executive management team, and staff as well as distinguished members of the Temecula Chamber of Commerce participated in the event. Members received free gifts, entered to win tickets to Disneyland Resort, Edwards Cinemas, a gas BBQ grill and a $100 Ralph’s gift certificate. The Southern Federal Credit Union, has broken ground on its new Peachtree City branch. Credit union officials were joined at the groundbreaking ceremony by a number of Peachtree City officials and representatives from local select employer groups to “dig-in” and break ground for the new venture. The 8000-square-foot branch, to be built on seven acres, will be a two-story brick building complete with a drive-up ATM and three drive-thru lanes for member transactions. First Atlantic Federal Credit Union, Eatontown, N.J., has moved its headquarters to Eatontown effective August 5, 2002. In addition, FAFCU will open a new branch at the same location, which members will be able to access in the Fall 2002. Affinity Federal Credit Union, Bedminister, N.J., has held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new financial center located in Basking Ridge. More than 100 people attended the event. The new facility features 24-hour ATM access, six teller stations, drive-up teller service, and an Investment Center. The financial center is open Monday through Saturday. Leyden Credit Union, Franklin Park, Ill., has broken ground on its latest branch. This move will provide drive-thru teller windows, a drive-up ATM and additional parking. Kern Schools Federal Credit Union, has moved into its new Delano branch. The 5,500 square foot facility features a larger lobby, two walk-up ATMs and bilingual tellers.
