OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – Margaret Blankers, vice president of public affairs and communications for U.S. Central Credit Union, is leaving U.S. Central to start her own PR firm, Margaret J. Blankers Public Relations Group, LLC. Blankers has been with U.S. Central for four years. Previously, she served as vice president of public relations for WesCorp, where she worked for 15 years. Blankers also served as project manager for the National Alliance of Credit Unions, the ad hoc industry strike force formed in the mid to late 1990s to address a series of regulatory issues facing corporate credit union. Blankers said she has already has lined up several credit union clients.
